Even though it's fishing opener this weekend here in Minnesota, many lakes up north still have ice. On one of the biggest lakes up north, the lake finally broke open and the high winds pushed "glaciers" of ice on to the shore, damaging houses - all within 15 minutes!

How to make a Dragon!

Last February I went to visit my pals at Villainous Lair Gaming & Comics in San Diego, CA. Cale was just starting to create a dragon for a special release of Dragon's Maze Magic:

The minions at the Lair just posted "the making of" pics on their Facebook page and it turned out AMAZING!!

Louden Swain are an AWESOME live band! They have this addictive, fun energy on stage and man, can they play! They gave the show at Lestat's in San Diego, played 110% and we ate it all up!

Sat right up in front and during one of those "How are y'all doing?" moments I shouted "Hi from Minnesota!" Rob and I had a banter. Yes, a total fangirl squee moment and then he later dedicated a song to me since I came all the way from Minneapolis! FOR THE LOVE OF ALL SQUEE.

The whole band was so much fun! Everyone came out after for meet and greets. I got a hug and more banter from Rob. Found out his brother lives up here so I ~~demanded~~ suggested they play up north sometime!

Also saw Jason Manns! And he came in to Villainous Lair Gaming to say hi! Sara looks so serious lol. Sorry it's not a better pic, but I was being all sneaky.

Also have to give a big shout out to Josh Damigo who opened the show - definitely won us over and I bought two of his CD's. Go find him and listen!

Right now it's -6F outside with a -28F wind chill and I have California dreaming in my head! One week from today I'll be in San Diego to visit my dear friend Sara!! woot!

AND Miss lily_cat and I will be attending a musical performance that Friday at a coffee shop named Lestats. It's right by Villainous Lair Comics and across the street from the Lair's gaming store.
